Daughters of the King, Ruth Chapter The Daughters of the King is an Order for laywomen who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, or churches in communion with it, or churches in the Historic Episcopate. A Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service, and evangelism. Meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Episcopal Church Women's Group (ECW) The goal of this organization is to bring all Redeemer women together in the fellowship of Christ and for service to the Church and the community. ECW gathers for a salad lunch and meeting on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 12 noon. Gift Shop Our gift shop offers jewelry, books, Bibles, Prayer Books, crosses, custom made cards and more. A faithful team opens the shop after both Sunday services, for special events and by appointment. Creche Display During the Advent (late November and December) season, this ministry organizes Redeemer's Christmas Creche display. Redeemer parishioners share their precious family creche scenes for display around the church. The display is open to our community for viewing. Outreach Ministries This committee organizes a full parish program of donations of time, talent, and treasure. The service projects and recipients of money and goods change each month in order to meet a wide range of needs and to offer varied opportunities for service. The parish budget also provides funding for The Rev. Ron and Vicki Robertson, SAMS missionaries in Peru, for Habitat for Humanity and for The Austin Street Shelter. See the Outreach Page for this month's outreach focus. St. Veronica's Guild The guild is an informal organization of parish members who provide food or other assistance to parish members in the event of illness or death in their families. There are no officers, meetings or formal structures and functions--only in the time of need. |
